The UK’s wildest, most authentic garage band, THE BARON FOUR, surge forward with their new single, “I Don’t Mind”, recorded earlier this year by the good people at State Records, and exclusively licensed to Get Hip.

Following on from their 3 previous singles and debut long-player, these 2 sides contain everything that we’ve come to love and expect from this amazing group—laconic, sneering vocals; gritty guitars drenched in reverb, thumping bass and pounding drums, all wrapped in a dirty monophonic production.

Topside “I Don’t Mind” also contains perhaps a surprise element—it’s a jangler! Never before have The Baron Four offered up anything so melodic, with a heartfelt melody, backed with almost folk-rock tambourine and backing vocals. The flip, “Things Are Getting Better”, is on more familiar territory, with a slinky, greasy riff, busy drums and a wonderfully jagged solo, leading to the chaotic rave-up that closes the track.

Both sides were recorded on 14th February, at The Ponswood Hit Factory, Hastings, East Sussex, UK, at State Records’ custom-built 8-track analogue recording facility.
