The SEEDS 7″ Singles on Get Hip Archive Series!

GET HIP IN ASSOCIATION WITH GNP CRESCENDO RECORDS PRESENTS A DOZEN EXCLUSIVE 7” SINGLES BY 60’s GARAGE LEGENDS The SEEDS!

The Get Hip Archive Series returns, with a thrilling and much anticipated run of 7” vinyl by Los Angeles’ 60s legends The Seeds. Visibility for the punk-psych icons has been Sky-high of late, thanks to both Neil Norman’s acclaimed rockumentary The Seeds Pushin’ Too Hard, and a spate of in-depth reissues of the bands album catalogue on CD and vinyl. Though Sky Saxon is no longer with us, the surviving Seeds have also recently reunited to play sold-out shows on the West Coast.

Now Get Hip turns its focus to the band’s incredible run of 45s for GNP Crescendo, the best format with which to enjoys the driving, intense brand of garage rock Sky and the band pioneered. The most significant couplings from the band’s singles catalogue, unavailable in 7” form for decades, have been taken from the original mono single master tapes and each reproduced with its authentic, eye-catching picture bag.

As well as reissues of eight original GNP singles – and a rare French EP – we are proud to add a trio of “new” singles, featuring tracks either previously unavailable on vinyl or, as a special bonus, completely unissued. These include the legendary 1968 outtake ‘The Streak To The Sun,’ which has remained unheard until now.

All dozen singles were compiled and mastered by Alec Palao, guaranteeing the most authentic set of Seeds 7” wax heard since the band’s heyday. Any 45s originally issued without picture sleeves, now have appropriate new artwork, making for a handsome brace of 7” vinyl that is perfect for any Seeds fan’s DJ box or home hi-fi.
