Norwegian Power-Pop star Vibeke Saugestad and her band LIVE at Get Hip! Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026

Come see Norwegian Power-Pop Icon Vibeke Saugestad in her new band The Vibeke Saugestad Band LIVE at Get Hip!

Featuring DJ sets by Todd Cheat and Johnny Razorblade to warm up the party and keep you dancing afterwards. Energetic power pop and punk rock galore!

Final addition: international avant-garde pop artis Princess Nostalgia will open the show with a solo performance. Princess Nostalgia is a producer-led pop project rooted in bass, syncopation, and sharp cultural commentary. Raised between Rome and the U.S., her music channels a deep nostalgia for the Eternal City while pushing the boundaries of genre.

In 2025, her song about Luigi Mangione went viral before being removed from TikTok under a “violent-extremism” moderation ruling. A flashpoint that amplified public debate, the song landed her a featuring role in a Sundance-premiering documentary short film produced in part by Rolling Stone Films.

In the wake of her first national tour opening for Mystery Skulls, Nostalgia is currently building the Nostalgia-Verse, an interactive map of spacetime where every release is its own star.

More About the Band:

Vibeke Saugestad is a US based Norwegian Power Pop singer and songwriter with a powerful voice, catchy melodies, and an energetic stage presence. To quote powerpopaholic.com: “Okay so you take Debbie Harry of Blondie and you make her the lead singer for The Knack. That’s it – you’ve basically got Vibeke.

She got her breakthrough in Norway in the mid-90s with the band Weld, who were awarded the Norwegian Grammy equivalent for their debut album. After touring with a handful of other combos, she went solo early in the new millennium and released 3 solo albums and one EP, with which she toured extensively in Norway and Europe.

Vibeke met her husband Ken Fox on the road, as he was touring with The Fleshtones, and she now lives in the US. At a closing party of her neighborhood bar, she got the idea of bringing her old solo material back to life with a killer new band, with her husband Ken Fox on bass. The group clicked so well that it spurred Vibeke to start writing again.

The EP “The Sun Sessions” was released on October 25, 2025, the first new release from Vibeke in 17 years, followed by a 2 week tour of Spain, opening for powerpop legends The Rubinoos.

The band’s plans for 2026 include shows in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and Spain, in addition to the US.

This is genuine Norwegian Power Pop – bound to make you happy and dance along!
